Dr. Chu (he/him) is currently focused on his established patients and is not accepting new patients at this time.
Dr. Vy Chu (that's "vee choo") has committed his career to the service of the LGBTQ community as one of the founding members of Capitol Hill Medical. He grew up in McLean Virginia, a suburb of D.C. where he met his partner of twenty four years. He attended college at Duke University in North Carolina and then enjoyed a few years working as an emergency medical technician.
His journey finally brought him to Seattle, where he received his M.D. from the University of Washington, and where he completed his residency in Primary Care Internal Medicine at Virginia Mason Medical Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and is credentialed by the American Academy of HIV Medicine as an HIV Specialist. He is a Clinical Instructor at the University of Washington School of Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP).
Dr. Chu's interests encompass all aspects of primary care for the GLBTQ community. In particular, during residency he completed a rotation focusing on sexually transmitted diseases at the San Francisco City Clinic, a downtown public health clinic on the forefront of the management of HIV and STD medicine. He also has an interest in primary care sports medicine, having volunteered as a team doctor for various King County public school sports teams, and offers wellness and fitness goals to all of his patients.
