Rob Killian, MD, MPH

Dr. Rob Killian has been in private practice working with the GLBT community for ten years. He is pleased to join with Capitol Hill Medical to create a permanent and vital health clinic dedicated to serving our community’s unique health needs. Dr. Killian, the father of two grown sons, grew up Mormon in Issaquah, WA. He began his education at Brigham Young University as an undergraduate and then completed medical school and a master’s degree in Public Health at the University of Utah.

He completed his residency training at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York and is board certified in Family Medicine. He has subsequently worked with and become certified by the American Academy of HIV Medicine as an HIV Specialist.

Dr. Killian’s interests are broad and include the primary care of the GLBT community, HIV medicine, activism within health care and he has worked in both public and private settings through out his career. He helped found two hospices in Rochester, New York and has a special love for Hospice medicine and those challenges that working with the dying patient brings to this practice. Dr. Killian is also well known for his advocacy of a saner approach to the drug problems that plague America and he was the original sponsor of the Washington State Medical Marijuana Act.

He speaks and writes frequently on “coming out”, “the gay Mormon experience” the dangers of "reparative psychotherapy", being a gay father and the drug war. His biggest love is to travel and explore the world in all it's many hues and facets.

Vy Chu, MD

Dr. Vy Chu (that's "vee choo") has committed his career to the service of the GLBT community as one of the founding members of Capitol Hill Medical. He grew up in McLean Virginia , a small suburb of D.C. where he met his partner of sixteen years. He attended college at Duke University in North Carolina and then enjoyed a few years working as an emergency medical technician.

His journey finally brought him home to Seattle, where he received his M.D. from the University of Washington, and where he completed his residency in Primary Care Internal Medicine at Virgina Mason Medical Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine is credentialed by the American Academy of HIV Medicine as an HIV Specialist.

Dr. Chu's interests encompass all aspects of primary care for the GLBT community. In particular, during residency he completed a rotation focusing on sexually transmitted diseases at the San Francisco City Clinic, a downtown public health clinic on the forefront of the management of HIV and STD medicine. He also has an interest in primary care sports medicine, having volunteered as a team doctor for various King County public school sports teams, and offers wellness and fitness goals to all of his patients.

Dave Holt, ARNP

Dave Holt is a Family Nurse Practitioner and proud founding member of Capitol Hill Medical.

Dave attended the University of Massachusetts/Amherst majoring in Medical Technology and was certified as a Medical Technologist in 1971. He received his BS in nursing from Eastern Washington University and his MSN from Washington State University. He is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the Honor Society of Nursing. Dave is credentialed by the American Academy of HIV Medicine as an HIV Specialist.

Dave is currently the lead Health Care Specialist in the Harborview Emergency Department with 12 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.

Dave and his partner are currently Director’s Circle members of the Seattle Men’s Chorus and members of Seattle Men in Leather.

Dave supports the following organizations: ACLU, Lambda Legal, Equality Washington and the Human Rights Campaign.
