Dr. Rongitsch (she/her) is a board-certified primary care physician practicing internal medicine. She grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota, attended Marquette University for undergraduate studies, and graduated from University of Minnesota Medical School. After medical school, she moved to Seattle to complete a three-year residency in internal medicine at Virginia Mason Medical Center. While in residency, she also worked at the International District Medical Clinic. This experience further developed her interest in public health, and led her to Pike Market Medical Clinic where she worked for eight years, serving low-income and uninsured patients, seniors, immigrants, the homeless and LGBTQ communities. She then continued her practice for four years at Pacific Medical Center. Over the past twelve years, Dr. Rongitsch has been involved in medical education, teaching residents and medical students from Virginia Mason and University of Washington. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP). For 2015 Dr. Rongitsch was named a Seattle Metropolitan Top Doctor for Internal Medicine and Transgender Health.
Dr. Rongitsch is now thrilled to join Capitol Hill Medical! She strives to provide thoughtful, evidence-based primary care that is respectful of all gender identities and sexual orientations. She prescribes hormones and provides primary care for trans* and gender-variant patients. She also has an interest in complementary medicine and nutrition.
When not seeing patients, Dr. Rongitsch enjoys hiking, skiing, playing and listening to music, and urban farming with her wife Leslie.
